I bet plenty of you read that title and immediately thought "Great! A list of books teaching me the nuts and bolts of how to become a property developer".

And you would be wrong.

It's important to learn the "how to" of becoming a property developer, sure, but just as important is personal development to expand your mindset. And that process is a lifelong journey.

And because it's not enough to blow your mind just once, I'm going to do it a second time.

Not a lot of people know this, but I'm actually dyslexic. Which probably explains a lot about me - it's not just all those bumps on the head playing rugby that made me who I am today!

So you might be wondering if I'm the right person to be giving you a recommended reading list for becoming a high successful property developer.

The answer is simple - audio books. I'm a total audio book addict, and being able to listen to books has opened up all sorts of possibilities for me to learn and grow. Audible rocks!

It's also important to recognise that developing your mindset falls into two basic categories:
  • personal development & self belief
  • business & entrepreneurial skills
My list contains a mix of both, so you can cover both sides as you expand your horizons.

The books are in no particular order, and I've included a brief summary of what each book is about.

Word of advice - if you read a summary for a book and immediately think it's not for you, then that's probably the most important book for you to read or listen to next. Stretching your comfort zone is a big part of personal development!
