Traffic Engineering Key Info & Tips

Is Traffic Engineering high on your list of things to check when doing Due Diligence on a potential property development site?

It should be!

It’s essential that you understand the potential constraints on vehicular & pedestrian access, Traffic impacts and parking requirements to get an accurate picture of what’s possible and how much it will cost!

Getting this wrong could mean that you can’t actually do the development you intended, or the costs will make the deal unprofitable.

SO… what are the main elements you need to be aware of?

To help us navigate through Traffic Engineering 101, we have Hany Takla and Ramy Selim from Hemanote Consultants who will explain:

- What is Traffic Engineering?
- What does a Traffic Consultant or Traffic & Transport Engineer do?
- How can they help you at different stages of a property development
- Due diligence during pre-purchase, then the design and planning stages
- Internal and external site issues
- Instruments that are used / Australian Standards & Guidelines
- What developments need traffic engineering?
- Impacts of road hierarchy on your proposed development

Understanding the basic Traffic Engineering requirements and implications is critical for all property developers. Come along to this Meetup to get the ultimate guide to all things Traffic!

Navigating the maze of property development isn't for the faint hearted. Expensive surprises and unexpected roadblocks can derail even the most promising projects!

Imagine having to change your entire design because your neighbours objected! Yikes!

Well, that is exactly what happened to Luke Skelton!

And that wasn’t the only challenging obstacle to tackle:

- DD revealed Acid Sulphate Soil Class 5, BAL 29 and easements across the property!
- Re-design delays due to neighbour complaints – made worse by…
- The Building Designer… he is a one-man band who had too much work on!
- Bulk excavation cost blowouts… rock was a LONG way down!
- Build costs increased by 30%!!!
- Sewer cut in wasn’t allowed for in the quote. Oops!

Luke's story is a rollercoaster ride with plenty of lessons learned along the way. His expertise in surveying and project management has given him a unique edge in the world of property development. He’ll show you how to navigate the unexpected, keep your project on track, and ultimately turn a profit.

Don't miss your chance to learn from someone who's been in the trenches.  Register now for an event that promises to be engaging, enlightening, and loaded with practical tips you can use on your next project. See you there!
