With more than 10 years of experience working for a volume builder, Helen has developed a strong understanding of the construction industry, particularly in builder tendering processes. For this project, she chose to work with a custom builder, as volume builders typically do not undertake custom-designed developments. Through this experience, Helen gained valuable insights into the key differences between engaging a volume builder versus a custom builder, including the advantages, challenges, and considerations involved in each approach.
