Jan Bodnaruk
Jan Bodnaruk is a civil engineer with 20 years of experience in construction and a deep passion for civil works. Nearly four years ago, he launched his own civil construction business, BB CIVIL, working with other developers to bring projects to fruition. Driven by a strong desire to take on projects of his own, Jan joined Property Developer Network in 2021 and has not looked back since! His first personal venture, a 7-lot subdivision, represents the beginning of what he sees as a promising future in property development. Jan is excited to keep building his property development journey in the years to come!

Jan joined the PDN community four years ago with a burning desire to get into his first subdivision project BUT it took him until July 2023 to realise that dream!
Ironically, it was right there under his nose, through another member of the PDN community!
PLUS an added BONUS – it was shovel ready with a DA and Op Works already in place. Woohoo!
But despite Jan’s years of experience in civil construction, he still faced his fair share of hurdles:
- unpredictable weather… rain, rain, and more rain!
- neighbour’s driveway crossover on Jan’s property
- this had to be relocated before construction of the road could start!
- Telstra & NBN services buried on site
- three month delay to relocate them
- Ipswich clay soil conditions meant additional costs
- juggling his own project with client work…
Despite all these setbacks, Jan’s persistence paid off. Join us at this Meetup to hear Jan’s insights into his leap into developing for himself! This is one story every emerging developer needs to hear!
