Phil Verdouw
Phil went from losing his job and being unemployed to now having successfully completed five projects. His strategy is to provide land for housing closer to the city and to where people live their lives. He does this by buying and developing property in the inner and middle ring suburbs, subdividing site into well priced lots for the ultimate buyers to build their dream home.

Scaling to larger developments is not always easy to tackle, but what better way than to do it than as a part of a team!?
Phil started out in the journey of this deal as a sounded board for two newbie developers when they reached out for his advice and he was only too happy to help.
They were smashing through the early stages of the development so well… BUT when the time came for finance, Phil promptly stepped in as a JV Partner.
ALAS… the good times were interrupted when the existing house was broken into and all the tools stolen (!!) and then the budget for the renovation blew out by $75,000. An inexperienced team of contractors and FIVE months of rain added to their woes…
Despite one of the lots being challenging to sell due to a Stormwater Outlet – there was still a cool $1.1million of profit in this deal! WOW!!!
Most of you will have heard Phil's journey of becoming an experienced Property Developer now with a wealth of knowledge under his belt – so come along to this Meetup to learn how he kept the project on track and achieve this awesome result!
