Presentation Length:
Aim for a presentation around 45 minutes long including questions.
Presentation PowerPoint Template:
We highly recommend that you use our Powerpoint template for ease on your side, of which you can add your branding and logo into the bottom right hand corner of the slides (in the 'slide master'). If you're unsure how to do this, please let us know and we'll be very happy to assist.
To download a copy of our presentation template, here is a link to a blank presentation deck that will easily slide into our master deck on the day.
If you have a prior presentation deck that you would prefer to utilise, then that's okay also, please just ensure that your slide size is set to "Widescreen" being the 16:9 ratio otherwise we will have problems with merging your content with our other presenters.
Recording of our Events:
Please note that we record all of our presentations and also share all presentation decks with our Annual Members with these made available through a members only page.
How much detail to put into the slides...
We find that many of our presenters obtain a great deal of referral business by presenting and so having content that justifies someone going back to review your presentation is usually beneficial to your business.
For this reason we suggest that you have enough detail to educate them on the topic, without going over the top on too much information. This way they will want to come to you when the time is right in order to engage in assisting them when the time is right.
Of course it may take several months after the original presentation for our members to be in the right part of the development cycle for their project to benefit from your material. At this point they may potentially be reviewing the slides without the benefit of having attended, or perhaps they don't recall the exact detail you were discussing so it is good to have enough detail to cater for the slides being read without the benefit of having seen you present live.
***MAJOR TIP FOR YOUR CONTENT***
Our audience is NOT very receptive to direct sales, and therefore we suggest that your presentation is educational in nature.
We find the best approach is to teach the audience about a topic within your specialty, then once you start to talk about your business at the end of your presentation it is more as a follow-on to the educational piece, and in-turn the audience sees you as a thought leader within the Industry and will contact you in relation to using your services.
